Our Advocacy Council is a group of like-minded individuals seeking to advocate for women and girls at local, state, and federal levels by building community, ensuring equity, and fighting for justice through policy and organizing.

Our next Advocacy Meeting will be to support Nuture the Next at Oddstory’s Giveback Night which is scheduled for November 7th at 5:00 p.m.

Join us for our next Nightingale Network Happy Hour! You do not have to be a member to attend. This month, we are being hosted by Nightingale Network members, Jen LaRose and Cathy McCune.

In addition to celebrating a successful 2024 Nightingale Network grant cycle, we will have time to network and catch up with friends. Feel free to bring a friend or two to learn more about the collective philanthropy arm of the Women’s Fund.

We hope you will join us for our 2024 Voices luncheon. This fun and informative event has traditionally had over 400 people in attendance. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for networking and champagne. From 11:30 a.m.-1:00p.m. guests will enjoy lunch and a dynamic program.

This year, our program will focus on Women and Power and include a conversation with powerful and personal stories from two local leaders - Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp and former Hamilton County Commissioner Katherlyn Geter. They will discuss important WFGC priorities, including criminal justice and healthcare. By sharing their own lived experience and the power of advocacy, our speakers will inspire us to continue to come together to create a space for all women and girls to thrive. We are also honoring Marj Flemming, who has uplifted many women in our community through her work as well as CWLI and the Women’s Fund.

Join us for our first Nightingale Network event of 2024 at Signal Centers! We're kicking off the year with a Happy Hour at 109 N Germantown Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411. Fun fact: one of their programs, Family Forward, was one of our 2023 Nightingale grant finalists!

Join us for our June Nightingale Network Event. This month, Nightingale Network Committee Member Alayna Best will be hosting. We will come together to help pack summer meals for kids at the J.A. Henry Community YMCA to support their food program and network with one another. Snacks and drinks will be provided for Nightingales and guests.

This webinar will focus on educating our intergenerational communities about women's and girls' bodies to celebrate menstrual health. Additionally, we will discuss how each of us can contribute to alleviating period poverty. Looking forward to seeing you there!

We will also be collecting period products in support of a period product drive leading up to Period Poverty Awareness Week- May 22nd-May 27th. If you want to bring period products to donate, we will have a collection bin. All products will stock the Hamilton County Schools Care Closets

Join us for our April Nightingale Network Event. We are changing up the concept this month. We will meet at Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Hub. Join us and bring a friend (you don’t have to be a member to attend) to see their new space and learn about the work they do. We will still have lots of time to enjoy snacks, drinks and connect with new and old friends interested in collective philanthropy and supporting our community.
